Just received a letter from race control, informing me of a 1 month time-out. I now have 4 months to turn in my license. I don’t technically need it to get to work, so it’s more of an inconvenience than a real world problem, but still....

Too many points?

I want to have a race control problem.

Nope, just twice within 24 months. Didn’t even now that this was a thing. Both events alone are just a point and a fine, but combined they gain deadly power.

No, you don’t!

4 weeks is just enough time to think about what you have done to deserve this punishment, my leadfooted compatriot. ;-)

For what? Am I missing something?

Second time within 24 months apparently does the trick. Didn’t know that.
Both were 28 kph over on the Autobahn so without city limits. Each isolated incident is just a point on the license and a small fine, but together......

“Race Control” sounds like a department that would have been opened under Hitler.

Can’t you transfer your points to someone else? In good old Brazil all my tickets go to my grand-mother, she hasn’t driven in years.

I already confessed to it, thinking it would again be just a small (€ 108) fine and my second point. I didn’t know that two of those in a certain amount of time become deadly.

I understand the need for enforcement, however the above picture sums up my feelings concerning speed/red light cameras.

I thought they stopped race control 70 years ago...

Well.... 17mph (28kph) over is enough to get you arrested in some parts of the US, so I guess a 1 month suspension isn’t TOO bad. However, speed cameras haven’t caught on yet in the states. THANK THE FORD!
(heh... See what I did there?)
